for Rapperswil
The Innovation Center Rapperswil is a meeting place for science, entrepreneurship and innovation.
The Innovation Center sparks incentives for the local and Swiss startup scene and, as a Swiss-Asian platform, fosters economic cooperation between Swiss and Asian companies.
With the Innovation Center Rapperswil, SinoSwiss is building the second pillar of its long-term strategy of building a bridge between Asia and Switzerland, following the Technopark in Chongqing. The Innovation Center provides offices and facilities for innovative Swiss companies, start-ups, and spin-offs. Asian companies can establish their European and Swiss branches in the Innovation Center.
The Innovation Center Rapperswil offers basic modules and Asia-specific modules to support startups. In cooperation with the other regional startup promoters, the city of Rapperswil-Jona, and the canton of St.Gallen, the Innovation Center helps to create an optimal support landscape for startups and spin-offs in Rapperswil-Jona and the Upper Lake Zurich region.
Timeline
The Innovation Center construction project was officially submitted in April 2023. Groundbreaking is planned for the first half of 2024. As with all construction projects in an early phase, the schedule is subject to change.
